Board Lot vs. Odd Lot: What’s the Difference? 📊

Here’s a quick introduction to help you understand the difference between trading a board lot versus an odd lot, and learn how they determine the number of shares you can trade!

Small or standard, know your lots before you trade! 💰

💰Market Price (in PHP): This is the stock’s current price range used to find the correct row in the board lot table. For example, if a stock is trading at ₱2.54, it falls under the ₱0.5000 to ₱4.9900 range.

⏰Tick Size: This is the smallest allowed change in price for that stock. Using the same example, for stocks priced from ₱0.5000 to ₱4.9900, the tick size is ₱0.01.

🏠Lot Size: This is the minimum number of shares you can buy or sell in a regular board-lot trade. For that same ₱0.5000 to ₱4.9900 price range, the lot size is 1,000 shares.
